This page is the practical “get it installed and online” guide. We'll keep it short, correct, and aimed at touring vehicles.

Install checklist

• Power + fusing: correct fuse sizing, solid crimping, strain relief.
• Shunt placement: mount securely, protect from water ingress and mud spray.
• Commissioning: confirm polarity, verify current direction, then connect WiFi.
• Connectivity: check RSSI in the app (poor RSSI = flaky telemetry/OTA).

Common install mistakes

• Bad earths / paint under lugs.
• Undersized cable causing voltage drop and weird behaviour.
• Mounting where water/mud can sit against the enclosure.
• WiFi AP too far away (RSSI too low).
